Sauza Tequila

Case Study

Sauza Tequila came to our team with a very unique idea, and wanted us to bring their vision to life. We were asked to create a free standing, 2-sided dimensional Rooster, which could stand alone or be stacked for display.

Assessment

We were ready to tackle this challenge. To begin, we initially showed the customer a similar display solution which utilized a 2” EPS foam core with litho laminated die-cut panels mounted to each side. Showing them a display that already existed helped them to decipher what they wanted, and what they didn’t, for their own custom design.

As we assessed their vision, we realized how unique we could make this display in order to really reflect Sauza’s product. Without being a standard display solution, this piece could be used in multiple ways.

Design

Getting right to work, we started with a color rendering of our solution. Once the rendering was approved by the client, we built a digitally printed, CAD-cut prototype for structural approval.

Prototyping

We constructed a full-color prototype in order to bring the client’s vision to life! Happy with our design and take on the project, we continued on to the next vital step — figuring out how to actually create this display.

Engineering

We then provided a die line for the client to create their art, and then those same electronic files are used for tooling and assembly fixtures.

Production

We then got busy producing 200 Roosters within two weeks from the initial art and design approval from the client.

Fullfillment

To make sure the display was protected, we packed 1 Rooster per carton and drop shipped to the specified individual locations that carry Sauza Tequila.
